The referendum on the same sex marriage is approaching quickly, the folks in the government are seriously concerned about those citizens who actually say "yes" but will vote "no" when nobody looks, the leaflets are being delivered by both sides, and so on. In another words the campaign is full blown by now.
As the marriage is ultimately about children, as in virtually any culture, including our European, it is such a big thing not because two people love each other, but because of the potential of starting a family and raising children, I decided to find out how it is to be raised by two dads or two moms. I came across few testimonies of people raised by same sex couples but none of them was as in-depth as the one of Heather Barwick, former supporter of gay marriages and families.

This time of the year is a double anniversary.
The first one commemorates so called Katyń Massacre, a series of mass executions of Polish POWs, policemen and intelligentia, carried out by Soviet secret police, NKVD in April and May 1940. About 22 thousands of Polish citizens, captured after Soviet invasion of Poland in 1939 were executed by shot in the back of the head or neck. 50 years later Soviet Union officially acknowledged and condemned the atrocity and subsequent cover-up although they refused to classify it as a war crime or a genocide. It took another 20 years that Russian Duma (parliament) issued a declaration blaming Soviet officials with Stalin first and foremost.

It's pretty generic a definition of a medicine system matching many kinds of treatments, medicine branches and so on. Yet, homeopathy is entirely different from all of them.

Today is the 65th anniversaty of death of rotmistrz (cavalry captain) Witold Pilecki, Polish underground soldier during German occupation of Poland, best known of his “Witold Report”, the first intelligence report on Auschwitz concentration camp, which he wrote after deliberately allowing to being caught during street roundup in Warsaw along with 2000 innocent people and transported to the camp from where he eventually escaped.Arrested by the Ministry of Public Security in 1947, he was repeatedly tortured by the most brutal communistic officers but revealed no sensitive information. He then underwent a show trial and was sentenced to death. At 9.30pm, on 25th of May 1948, he was executed by a shot in the back of the head. His grave was never found.
